· Jill Bolte Taylor’s stroke of insight ·
This inspiring speaker talks about her experience of having a stroke. She describes how her left and right side of the brain processed this situation. Its very insightful to note how helpful it is to understand how these 2 parts of the brain work and when they can be useful. I believe this is relevant to understanding why in acts of making a baby, birthing a baby and nurturing a baby we need to use the side of the brain that will help us most.
· Non violent communication – NVC Australia ·
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a simple, effective and learnable four step process developed by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg PhD in 1964. It has been used successfully around the world to resolve conflicts and to deepen connections in personal relationships, schools, hospitals, corporations and governments. The heart of NVC is to identify universal human needs and what can be done to meet those needs. Even in situations of longstanding conflict or hostility, the NVC process can open new doors to compassionate connection and action.
· Arven Alexander Living Frequencies ·
People naturally evolve, heal, & find their deepest personal power through real-life interactions. Our events are experiential and combine social & personal-development gatherings. Entertaining and gently challenging facilitated practices (in groups and pairs), with some opportunities for simple sharing of our feeling experiences – which can greatly deepen how well we know and express ourselves. A powerful antidote to the training in disconnection we receive daily – through the cultural over-focus on media-based entertainment and at-a-distance online socialization.
