As an experienced doula I understand the feelings of working solo to build a business out of something I feel passionate about.
At times I have felt alone, with a flow on effect of losing my drive and direction. At times I lost sight of my priorities and didn't feel sure of what next steps to take. It is in these times that I seek out a coach or mentor to guide, encourage, teach and help bring to life my vision more fully.

Erika Munton has been a birth worker and coach for 18 years and realizes there is little support specific to this area of passion for people after their training has finished. Over the last 5 years Erika has grown Birth Works to a successful business, balancing home and work life whilst staying true to the purpose she wishes to serve in the world.

The workshop on Wednesday was so useful to me, and I immediately felt so much more prepared to support my first client with her labour. I was very grateful to Tammy and Neil for sharing that space with me, too. Today I did a visit to my client and we practised everything I learned from you this week. That was great for both of us to get a sense of the mechanics of labour support, to establish what she likes best, and for me to know myself a little better regarding what I am physically capable of. My client now feels ready for labour.
